Wendy Beall, Change Meister

For thirty years I've been fascinated by the idea that we create our reality according to our beliefs. Since reading about this concept in Jane Roberts's Seth book, The Nature of Personal Reality, my life has been an ongoing exploration of "living on purpose." In the process, I've manifested everything from effortless successes to traumatic struggles as I attempted to understand and consistently apply the concepts presented first by Seth, and now by Abraham and Elias.

Always interested in science, my ongoing obsession with "conscious creation" led to extensive study of what we call the mind-body connection, because it provides both direct and indirect scientific validation (which mass beliefs regard as significant) of what we think of as "mind power."

Although I could produce an impressive sounding summary of my credentials and past accomplishments, it wouldn’t reveal that the real reason people work with me is that they "like my energy" and the way my unique perspective combines with the broad set of skills, talents, abilities I bring to whatever I do.

That said, here's a sketch of how I got to where I am now:

Driven by insatiable curiosity about almost everything, I was unable to settle on any particular direction during college. Voracious reading resulted in my ending up an English major, a boundary-less area of study that fed my assumption that I can do just about anything I can read about.

At age 35, I started my first business with literally no money and no background in the area I chose, selling advertising to restaurants. I published full restaurant menus in a mini-tabloid (small format newspaper) that I distributed to tourist destinations in Tucson, Arizona.

After three years, I sold that business, and moved to northern California where I spent a year as marketing director of a company that offered organizational development (team building) programs to businesses like NASA, Procter & Gamble, and Amdahl.

But I was yearning to do something that used all my talents, skills, and abilities. That desire became reality when I began my next adventure in self-employment in 1990 by morphing into a girl geek.

Although I knew nothing about PCs, there were few people at that time who knew anything about Windows. My scanty Macintosh background, my penchant for reading manuals, an uncanny ability to understand what the manuals actually meant, and intuitive problem solving skills enabled me to become a Windows Integration Specialist, which I learned by doing while working with Pacific Gas & Electric when they made Windows their desktop standard.

Sixty computer-years later (at the time, a computer-year was approximately three weeks), in mid-1993, I changed direction to become a Lotus Business Partner, using Lotus Notes to design and develop custom software for companies large enough to afford these transformative but costly solutions. As usual, I began with no actual knowledge of my new area of expertise. But I’d again chosen an area that was just coming into popularity, where there were relatively few experts. And once again, success came from my ability to learn quickly, play well with others, and translate technical information into terms end users could understand.

What I liked most about working in high tech was helping others feel confident and competent to use these often frustrating but essential tools. The mistakes I make as I learn provide valuable experiences for me to share, and enable me to easily recognize what others don't understand as they try to develop new skills. With this in mind, I can translate, synthesize, and clarify information to make it easier to comprehend and apply. And I know that, like me, everyone has the ability to achieve mastery in any area they choose to focus on.

I bring these qualities to my new direction of professional consulting and personal coaching, helping people achieve mastery of the most high tech tool of all, their consciousness.
